I-Tea is a “networked” company: design and production are entrusted to external companies,
each one of them excelling in its own specific field of activity. The engine was designed by
Piero Ferrari's company HPE, and the gearbox by 2000 Engineering, the company that
developed the first electronic transmission in Formula One. The same is true of all the other
components: I-Tea is thus a centre in which high quality components are designed, produced
and assembled without the need for investments in production equipment or machinery. The
business's value consists in its industrial property and its management of projects that are
delegated to external organisations but which I-Tea manages as if they were functions within
a single company.
